I personally think that this new Equality Bill - which you'll learn about in the video below - is absolutely ludicrous and actually forces employers to use racism, sexism and ageism in the workplace, rather than to stamp it out.
I agree that these ism's need to be stamped out in the workplace - and everywhere else for that matter - but this is definitely not the way to do it.
In my eyes - and in the eyes of many others, I'm sure - to be given a job, above all other applicants, on the basis of your race, sex or age, is just as racist, sexist and ageist as not being given the job.
I believe that every job applicant should be employed on their merits, skills, experience, etc. not because of their race, sex or age.
All this new Equality Bill achieves, is the creation of three new ism's... White'ism, British'ism and Male'ism... and unfortunately for me, I am all of these.

it makes me laugh, when i am out and about with my black collegues, the locla black youth slag them off calling them coconuts and bounty bars.(black on the outside white in the middle)..these same locals then moan to the papers that there are not enough coppers. not one of them woill say to the black cop..well done nice to see ya..nope just abuse...
as fro asians well their parents dont want them to be cops as they want them to be lawyers doctors accountants dentists. something with status....one bloke had been in the police for a year before he told his mum and dad..they thought he was practising law..
